Just a spell!

Is it possible to just have seizures for a few years then just stop? The same thing happened to my brother, the only difference is he was a child and I was a teen. How is that even possible?

Computer Screens Started It

I figured it out by myself. No thanks to my doctor... even though he said I wouldn't have had a seizure from looking at a computer screen if the spark wasn't already there. So he told me if I want I can try to get off the medicine not sure if im ready yet...

Long Time No Seizures.

It has been three long years and I havent had a single seizure. I guess the medicine works but its not that was for everyone. I also wish there was a way to get off the medicine. It cant be healthy to take none natural medicine like this everyday...or maybe Ijust haven't done enough research. Thats a college student for you!?

Inheriting epilepsy?

I was told my epilepsy wasn't passed down to me even though my mom is epileptic too. She was hit in the head with a glass milk bottle; that is what made her have seizures. My brother also had seizures but his were at a very young age and they just stopped by the time he was 7. It seems there may have been a genetic trace but no one has proven it. I would love to know of more strange cases.

How Did Your Epilepsy Start?

I was not born epileptic, but I am now. I was seventeen and sitting at my computer when I fell out of my chair. Only thing I remember is wakeing up with the worse headache I had ever had in my life. I had never taken medication and I hated swollowing pills but I had to start. I switched between all kinds of medication because i didn't take them like I was suppose to. One day I had just finished running errands and was at my sisters house when i fell to the floor agin. I woke up with a bad headache and my 2 year old neice leaning over my leg asking me if i was ok. By then I had just started college and was one the verge of losing my license. My school is an hour away from where I live so I really got set back because i wasn't allowed to drive until i got my siezures under control. I would love to kno how others have handles their epilepsy!
